Design Notes
To reduce the metabolic stress of cells and avoid the problem of plasmid incompatibility when designing this pathway, we chose to use polycistron for expression. Due to the pandemic, we did not have enough experimental time to perform experiments on the effect of spacer sequences on transcription efficiency. Thus the spacer sequences between different genes in the polycistronic selected the spacer sequences in the lactose operon.
